Diver Education

The Solitary Islands offer the perfect setting for you to learn to dive or continue your diver education. Our professional diving facility offers a comprehensive course program from basic level, through to instructor level.

Our staff have extensive combined teaching experience, and offer you personalised training to all levels in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, both full-time and part-time with small classes being our speciality.

Dive Quest offer comprehensive courses especially tailored for High School students through the Northern Inland High Schools SCUBA Program.  Accommodation for schools visiting from further afield can be arranged on request.

Teachers should note the 'Key Person Training Program' that offers a discounted educational program for supervising staff to enable them to progress to the level of Dive Master.

Specific programs are also offered for the Defence Force, designed to provide approved Adventurous Training activities at all levels from Open Water through Advanced and Rescue to Dive Master.

Basic SCUBA DIVER Course

Discover a whole new world !

Most people are intrigued by the underwater world which is often described as Inner Space because of its stunning beauty and amazing creatures, and by learning to SCUBA Dive you will be able to visit this extraordinary world to experience its wonder.  SCUBA  Diving is the leisure activity that has something for everyone!  From floating effortlessly over coral reefs surrounded by brilliantly coloured tropical fish, to the unparalleled excitement of swimming with a giant Manta Ray, diving is a lifetime adventure that all begins with your SCUBA DIVER Course.

Learning to dive is easy, and the fun starts as soon as you begin. Our professional and experienced instructors teach you the basics of enjoyable, safe diving step by step through theory development sessions & confined water (swimming pool) sessions, followed by exciting ocean dives at some of the most beautiful locations around the Northern Solitary Islands.  During open water training you will learn to adapt the skills developed during pool sessions to the ocean environment, with theory sessions complimenting your practical  learning.  Instructors will explain all safety aspects, procedures, equipment and environmental considerations to ensure that you become a safe, confident and competent diver.

On completion of the course you will receive an internationally recognised certificate that allows you to dive anywhere in the world. Dive Quest specialise in small personalised courses, with a flexible schedule that allows us to tailor a course to suit your needs.  Generally the course runs over 5 to 6 days, and can be completed either full-time (over one week) or part-time (over 3 weekends).

A medical examination is required prior to commencement of the SCUBA Diver course to ensure that you are healthy for this sport and two passport size photographs are required for your certification card.

ADVANCED DIVE Course

 

This course is informative, rewarding and lots of fun.  It is designed to make you a better diver so you can get more out of every dive you do.  If you are interested in furthering your diving education by taking part in this informative and interesting course, a general outline follows.

RESCUE  DIVER Course

 

In the event of a iving emergency, would you be able to rescue yourself or your buddy?  The Rescue Diver Course is structured to give you the skills, knowledge and practical training to prevent or deal with diving related problems should they arise.

You will find this course both demanding and rewarding, achieving the skills and knowledge to make you a safer and more competent diver.
